Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War — How It’s Changing For The Cross-Play Beta Weekend

The first public beta for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War ran this past weekend on PS4, and now developer Treyarch has outlined some of the changes in the pipeline for the next beta. The second beta is a much bigger one, as it’s coming to Xbox One and PC as well, and there will be cross-platform multiplayer support.

Weekend 2 players can expect a series of changes, including the team deathmatch score limit rising from 75 to 100 “for better match pacing,” as well as a change to the Duster Stock attachment that will slow down sliding speed.

The cooldown on the Spy Plane scorestreak has been increased to lessen the experience of having too many of them in the sky at the same time from different players.

There have also been some general changes to improve the experience, such as join-in-progress now preventing players from joining a

203-Foot NEA, 2 Others To Zip Past Earth This Weekend

  • A total of 3 asteroids will zip by Earth this weekend
  • 2020RZ3 has a diameter of 203 feet, taller than the Leaning Tower of Pisa
  • None of the 3 NEAs have been included in the European Space Agency’s Risk List

A total of three Near-Earth Asteroids will be zipping past Earth this weekend, with one reaching 203 feet in diameter.

According to the Close Approach Data Table from NASA’s  Center for Near-Earth Object Studies (CNEOS), asteroids 2020RZ3, 2020SY3, and 2010UC are expected to pass by Earth, with 2010UC possibly even getting as close as 4 million kilometers (approximately 2.48 million miles) from the planet’s surface.

The largest of the three, 2020RZ3, is taller than the Leaning Tower of Pisa in Italy, with a diameter of 203 feet. If you’re living in California, this NEA is about four times as tall as the Hollywood sign on Santa Monica Mountains.

Is This The Weekend That The App Finally Begins To Die?

The end is nigh for TikTok. Again.

Beginning Sunday night, new downloads of the social media app could be banned in America, the result of a executive order issued by President Trump last month. Originally, this ban was going to take effect last Sunday—but then the Commerce Department gave TikTok a one-week extension to work out a deal for the Chinese-owned app to sell itself to a U.S. firm.

ByteDance, TikTok’s parent company, has such a deal worked out with Oracle
and Walmart
, though the exact terms of those negotiations are unclear. Each side made conflicting comments earlier this week about the ownership stakes and about who would control the company.

The White House is insisting that ByteDance divest TikTok out of professed fears that ByteDance will mishandle user data and face pressure from China’s

10 things we learned during the college football weekend

Check out the top 10 things we learned during the college football weekend.

1. FSU’s rough start

Florida State needs a lucky rabbit’s foot, a four-leaf clover or a horseshoe. After the Seminoles dropped their home opener to underdog Georgia Tech, they weren’t supposed to face any setbacks during a bye week. Instead, first-year coach Mike Norvell tested positive for COVID-19 and will miss this weekend’s road game against surging rival Miami.

2. The U is on a roll

Miami’s big-play potential has fans recalling the good old days of The U. The Hurricanes put on an offensive showcase Saturday night, rolling to a 47-34 win over No. 18 Louisville. It was the most points scored in a win against a top 25 team since No. 1 Miami knocked off No. 18 Virginia Tech 56-45 on Dec. 7, 2002. The Miami win Saturday featured six plays of 20-plus yards, including

You Have The Weekend To Comply, Homeland Security Says

Windows security updates should always be taken seriously, of that there is no doubt. But when the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) issues an emergency directive for a perfect 10, critical, Windows Server vulnerability, the urgency meter goes off the scale.

This is a vulnerability that could enable an attacker with network access to gain admin status by sending a string of zeros using the Windows Netlogon protocol. A vulnerability that, CISA said, must be assumed as being actively exploited in the wild.

Here’s what we know about the Zerologon exploit and what you need to do about it right now.

CISA doesn’t issue emergency directives unless there’s a serious cause for concern. The last time I reported on such a rare directive was back in July when

Home-field advantage redefined this weekend for Falcons, Georgia Tech

Travelling to Tallahassee to open ACC play against FSU, Georgia Tech will deal with a stadium that is supposed to be only 25% occupied. A young Yellow Jackets team will be spared a full house of political incorrectness, with three-fourth less chopping and chanting. They’ll have mostly only a rebuilding FSU team to contend with rather than 80,000 fans jacked up on tailgating and war paint inside Doak Campbell Stadium.

Now, will any of it make the slightest difference?

Can the Falcons lose something they haven’t really had?

It’s not as if they’ve come to count on home-field advantage. They’ve shown no real affinity for Mercedes-Benz Stadium since moving in before the 2017 season, going 12-12 at home and 12-12 on the road. The place has gained a reputation for pulling the fans away from the action with all its other delicious distractions around the concourse – unless the game
