DAX 30, CAC 40 Technical Outlook Remains Precarious

DAX/CAC Technical Outlook:

  • DAX H&S pattern could come to fruition
  • CAC has big support and resistance to watch

The DAX hasn’t done a whole lot on a net-net basis since we looked at it a week ago. The same broad, potentially bearish, head-and-shoulders (H&S) pattern is still developing. The left shoulder and head are in place, but we still need a right shoulder to develop and subsequent break of the neckline before we can run aggressively with a bearish bias.

The right shoulder could still take on the shape of a rising wedge that provides short-term traders with a look first before the neckline down near 12400 is tested and possibly broken. The area around the neckline has both good price support and not too far below at 12162 lies the 200-day. A break below all thresholds at some point could lead to a strong move.

But before getting ahead

CENTR Has Released an Animated Video on ccTLDs and Their Technical Role Concerning Content

CENTR explains the role of the DNS in tackling illegal content online

The Council of European National Top-Level Domain Registries (CENTR) released an animated video on Monday addressing ccTLDs and their technical role in relation to online content. Due to increased legislative interest in this topic, CENTR says there is a pressing need for comprehensive educational material on the technical capabilities of the DNS, ccTLDs and their role in the internet ecosystem.

To address this, CENTR published an issue paper in January 2019, Domain Name Registries and Online Content, which is a cornerstone document in explaining the role and limitations of registries. To make this document even more accessible, CENTR has transformed the paper into a four-minute animated video.

CENTR members are urging EU policymakers to adequately consider the technical role and the importance of ccTLDs in maintaining an essential service for the functioning of the internet. “Any measures

Poll hours extended after technical glitch causes widespread early-voting problems in Fort Bend County

MISSOURI CITY, Texas – Poll hours have been extended all this week in Fort Bend County after a technical issue caused widespread problems Tuesday for voters who tried to cast their ballots on the first day of early voting.

“After a two-hour delay, I voted,” Glen Green said. “They were saying computer issues all over the county. I called other locations and they were saying they were running through people.”

Green arrived at the Chasewood Community Center in Missouri City at 5 a.m. Tuesday and waited for more than 4 hours to vote.

“The elections board they could’ve had more people out to help them technically so they could resolve problems quickly,” Green said.

Jessica Thomas is pregnant and scheduled to deliver her baby on Wednesday, so she was patient.

“I’m due tomorrow morning, so I was trying to decide if I was going to stay, but I wanted to

Fort Bend County early voting delays due to technical glitches

Some voters waited as long as seven hours to cast their ballots because the machines were programmed with the wrong start date.

FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas — The lines are long for early voting at every polling location in Fort Bend County early Tuesday, but it’s not just because of the increased turnout.

County officials are working to fix a technical glitch that prevented the polls from opening at their scheduled time of 8 a.m.

County leaders said the machines didn’t have today’s date programmed so they wouldn’t work when the polls opened.

“They were not programmed to start this morning. And that had to be reprogrammed,” Fort Bend County District Attorney Brian Middleton said.

He said they are investigating whether it was intentional, but said it could be because they’re using “state-of-the-art machines” for only the second time.

The delays came on the first day of early voting.

Nashoba Valley Technical High School Is Mostly Back

WESTFORD MA — Some students at Nashoba Valley Technical High School are going to class outside, but no one is assigned to the football field as some earlier reports indicated, according to the school.

“Over 95 percent of our student population is participating in our hybrid model which includes in-person classes. We have just under 5 precent of our students that have opted for fully remote instruction due to a variety of health and personal reasons,” said Superintendent Denise Pigeon.

Chairs and desks are spaced out outside the school for some classes, weather permitting, she said.

“We do not have classes assigned to the football field,” said Pigeon. “We have outdoor classroom setups available for use by teachers at their discretion so they can take their classes outside if they so choose for breaks or for instruction if it works with the lesson they are teaching.”

Georgia Voters Reporting Lines Stretching up to 10 Hours and Technical Glitches

The first day of early voting opened in Georgia on Monday for the 2020 general election and despite some technical issues and long lines that had voters waiting for up to 10 hours, Georgians still came out in flocks to the polls to cast their vote and to make sure their voices are heard.

Viola Hardy got in line at 6:20 a.m., and at 11:15 a.m. still hadn’t voted yet, but she appeared determined. “We’re voting like our lives depend on it,”  Hardy told a reporter at 11 Alive, the NBC affiliation station in Atlanta. “I think people are just really ready to vote, and it doesn’t matter how long it takes — we will stand in line to vote.”

The Atlanta metro area was one of the busiest locations, according to NPR. The Atlanta’s State Farm Arena, the home of the NBA’s Hawks, is also the state’s largest voting
