Mint and Rocket Mortgage Reveal New Technology to Foster the Next Generation of Financial Empowerment

SAN DIEGO and DETROIT, Oct. 14, 2020 /PRNewswire/ — Today, financial empowerment app Mint by Intuit Inc. (Nasdaq: INTU), and Rocket Companies (NYSE: RKT), announced a first-of-its kind partnership in which Rocket Mortgage – the first fully digital mortgage experience – is now integrated into the Mint app via API to create a fast, simplified refinance experience for homeowners.

As part of this integration, Mint users are able to pre-fill information such as current mortgage information that they’ve added to their Mint profile. They are then able to seamlessly search for, apply and lock-in mortgage refinance rates with Rocket Mortgage in as few as eight minutes, instead of days or weeks – all powered by the Rocket Mortgage API. This is the first time the Rocket Mortgage experience has been directly integrated into a personal finance platform.

Not Excited About The New iPhone 12? Apple Is Prepared.

Apple brought all its usual glamour to the unveiling of its latest iPhones 12 yesterday. There was breathless exclamation over the new colors. There were speeches about chip speed. Then there’s the less breakable ceramic cover. And don’t think a LiDAR is only for those self-driving cars made by Waymo. The new Pro line of iPhones also have it now. The LiDAR will boost augmented reality (AR).

The real punch was the new 5G wireless speeds and here is where the problem lies. For the first time, Apple and iPhone are ahead of the foundational technology.

Never Be the First. Be the First Who Gets It Right.

Steve Jobs warned against the danger of being too early. “Things happen fairly slowly, you know. They

The Department of Engineering, Aarhus University, has received a grant from the Independent Research Fund Denmark to investigate nonlinear effects in semiconductor lasers – a stepping-stone to enable next generation higher-order modulation in fibre optic networks.

One of the properties of lasers is the reduced spectral distribution of their optical emission as compared to other light sources.

However, this laser ‘linewidth’ can be greatly influenced by the environmental conditions, which deteriorate their performance when used outside the research lab.

Now, Assistant Professor Nicolas Volet, who leads the Integrated Photonics group at Aarhus University (AU) has received a DKK 2.9 million grant from the Independent Research Fund Denmark for a new ambitious project, that aims at solving the linewidth issue of diode lasers.

This issue is known to be one of the limitations in the deployment of coherent higher-order

Then COVID hit…

After lots of sleepless nights, the Menke’s came to a decision to keep pursuing their dream.  Tyler, who quit his high paying medical device job to dedicate time to the gym, began making calls to old vendor contacts and found a left over UVGI system from the pop-up hospitals.  He

Wisconsin tells Foxconn no tax credits without new deal

The deal with Foxconn, the world’s largest electronics manufacturer, was announced by Trump at a White House ceremony and he traveled to Wisconsin in 2018 for the groundbreaking.

Foxconn signed a contract with Wisconsin under then-Gov. Scott Walker in 2017 to earn nearly $4 billion in state and local tax incentives for a $10 billion display screen manufacturing campus and plant that would employ up to 13,000 people. But Walker, a Republican, lost in 2018 to Democrat Tony Evers, who ran as a critic of the project.

After the deal was signed, Foxconn said it was downsizing the factory to what is known as a Generation 6 plant rather than a Generation 10.5 plant. The facility envisioned now would make smaller thin-film transistor liquid crystal display screens for cellphones and other devices, rather than the larger screens that were first proposed.

The letter sent Monday from Wisconsin Economic Development Corp.
