Colorado $300 unemployment bonus hits technical snag

A federal program expected to launch Thursday to provide some unemployed Coloradans an extra $300 a week in jobless benefits was flooded with so many requests that the state labor department was forced to disable the certification process late Wednesday.

The hiccup should not prevent eligible users from getting the federal Lost Wages Assistance benefits, state officials said, but so far only 16,000 out of 220,000 eligible users have been certified

Technical Analysis #C-WHEAT : 2020-09-17

Recommendation for Wheat : Sell

Sell Stop : Below 534.3

Stop Loss : Above 556.8

Indicator Value Signal
RSI   Neutral
MACD   Sell
Donchian Channel   Sell
MA(200)   Buy
Fractals   Sell
Parabolic SAR   Sell
Fibonacci   Buy

Chart Analysis

On the daily timeframe the WHEAT: D1 is falling toward the 200-day moving average MA(200) which has levelled off. We believe the bearish momentum will continue as the price breaches below the lower Donchian boundary at 534.3. A pending order to sell can be placed below that level. The stop loss can be placed above 556.8. After placing the order, the stop loss is to be moved every day to the next fractal high, following Parabolic signals. Thus, we are changing the expected profit/loss ratio to the breakeven point. If the price meets the stop loss level without reaching the order, we recommend cancelling the order: the market has undergone internal changes which were

AISD First-Day Jitters: School opens with technical glitches; teachers’ union demands waiver to extend virtual learning – News

The first day of virtual school for Austin ISD began with a tragically apt turn of technical difficulties. As Superintendent Stephanie Elizalde made her remote rounds through the Zoom schools, the AISD Google Drive server crashed for several hours.

Elizalde stated during a Sept. 14 school board meeting that she intends to bring students back to campus starting on Oct. 5, with buildings at 25% capacity – and not to apply for a waiver to extend online education for another four weeks. Education Austin, however, has asked for Elizalde to request the waiver, which would give the option of keeping students off campus through November. The waiver deadline is this Friday.

In a Wednesday press conference, Ken Zarifis, president of Education Austin, called on Elizalde to apply for the waiver and release specific safety protocols

District’s technical center of expertise provides rapid response during emergencies > U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Headquarters > Story Article View

With September and October being the peak hurricane months, the Omaha District’s rapid response team stands ready to offer disaster relief assistance should the need arise.  According the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association the 2020 hurricane season has already set a record by logging 20 storms as of Sept. 14.

In the event of an emergency, natural or man-made, members from the district’s rapid response team of 19 personnel can deploy quickly – usually within 72 hours.

This ability to respond quickly is due in part to the rapid disaster infrastructure program.  These mission assignment task order contracts are time sensitive and deal primarily with disaster response and recovery efforts.

“Everything that we do is time sensitive,” said Tim Gouger, program manager, rapid response technical center of expertise. “Part of my job is to make sure that there is situational awareness about the contract tool that is in place and

UPDATED: Instagram was evidently hit by widespread technical problems Thursday, with users reporting issues including the inability to log in or access their feed. The issues appeared to be mostly resolved in under an hour.

According to DownDetector.com, user reports of errors on Instagram began spiking just after 2 p.m. ET, with more than 75,000 problems reported as of 2:17 p.m. The problems appeared most prevalent in the U.S. — in the Northeast and in Southern California — with some reports originating out of Europe and other parts of the world.

By 2:35 p.m. ET, problem reports had subsided to about 5,000, suggesting that Instagram had begun recovering from the outages; as of 3 p.m., those were down to just over 1,000. According to Facebook, Instagram has more than 1 billion monthly active users globally.

Technical Glitch Enables Free EV Charging in Europe

The MarketWatch News Department was not involved in the creation of this content.

Sep 16, 2020 (NetworkNewsWire via COMTEX) —
Aside from being the most famous electric vehicle (“EV”) maker, Tesla is the only electric vehicle maker that has invested in a widespread charging network for its drivers. The company’s network of destination chargers and Superchargers are arguably more reliable than the charging networks drivers of other EV vehicles have to use. However, a technical glitch seems to be allowing EV drivers who don’t drive a Tesla to use some European Tesla Superchargers.

A couple of days ago, non-Tesla electric car owners were surprised to find that they could charge their vehicles for free at the new V3 Superchargers in Europe which use the common CCS standard. Tesla Inc. (NASDAQ: TSLA) switched its main charging standard to CCS when it launched Model 3 and its Supercharger V3 in Europe. Although

8 Technical Aspects You Need to Know

This story originally appeared on PCMag

Creating an e-commerce website is not a complicated endeavor. You can focus on developing solid products and promoting your brand while turning to a software company to handle the technical details—and you won’t even need an engineering degree. However, while you don’t need to be a programmer yourself, it’s important that you understand at least the basics of what your website hosting provider delivers in terms of e-commerce capabilities, and that issue remains important even after you get your e-commerce operation up and running.

I spoke with Stergios Anastasiadis, Director of Engineering at Shopify (9.00 Per Month at Shopify) about the most important technology living within an e-commerce website and what you should know to get started. “We have merchants selling products out of their homes,” Anastasiadis said. “All you need is an internet connection, and any successful
