The “Global Precision Medicine Market: Focus on Ecosystem, Technology, Application, Country Data (21 Countries), and Competitive Landscape – Analysis and Forecast, 2020-2030” report has been added to ResearchAndMarkets.com’s offering.

Global Precision Medicine Market to Reach $278.61 Billion by 2030

Precision medicine refers to the medicine developed as per an individual’s genetic profile. It provides guidance regarding the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases. The segmentation of the population is done depending on the genome structure of the individuals and their compatibility with a specific drug molecule.

In the precision medicine market, the application of molecular biology is to study the cause of a patient’s disease at the molecular level, so that target-based therapies or individualized therapies can be applied to cure the patient’s health-related problems.

This industry is gaining traction due to the increasing awareness about healthcare among individuals, integration of smart devices such as smartphones and tablets into healthcare,

KIOXIA Bolsters NVMe-oF Ecosystem with Ethernet SSD Storage; Collaborates with Marvell, Foxconn-Ingrasys and Accton

High-Performance NVMe SSDs with an Ethernet Interface Enable Cost Reduced, Simplified All-Flash Arrays

Direct-attached performance from network-attached devices is no longer a thing of storage architects’ dreams. KIOXIA America, Inc. (formerly Toshiba Memory America, Inc.), is now sampling Ethernet SSDs to select partners and customers interested in validating the benefits of Ethernet attached storage to their existing Ethernet (RoCEv2) networks. KIOXIA has been working in collaboration with key industry players Marvell, Foxconn-Ingrasys and Accton to bring groundbreaking Ethernet Bunch of Flash (EBOF) technology solutions to market – and this announcement is pivotal to that endeavor.

In an ongoing quest to contain explosive amounts of data, storage capacity and bandwidth must continue to grow while processing time must decrease. An EBOF system addresses these challenges through an Ethernet fabric that can scale flash and optimally disaggregate storage from compute. The EBOF storage solution bypasses the cost, complexity, and system limitations inherent

AirPods Studio Rumored to Come With U1 Chip, Ultra-Wideband Said to Be Vital to Future Apple Ecosystem

Proven leaker known as “L0vetodream” has today shared a range of information about the ultra-wideband U1 chip in Apple’s upcoming AirTags item trackers and AirPods Studio headphones.

The first of a series of tweets shared today simply stated that AirPods Studio will contain an ultra-wideband U1 chip. It seems likely that the U1 chip would be used in ‌AirPods Studio‌ to track the location of the headphones in the Find My app, but it could also have other functions such as directional detection of other in-range U1 devices.

Apple says that the U1 chip will “enable short-range wireless location to support new experiences, such as next-generation digital car keys,” but other than directional AirDrop, much of its functionality has yet to be realized.

The distance between two devices that support ultra-wideband can be measured precisely by calculating the time

Envisioning A Data-Enabled, $2 Trillion Automotive Ecosystem Before Autonomy Is Real

The automotive ecosystem is an almost $2T marketplace which consists of a large number of integrated markets.  Beyond the automotive OEMs, these include rental companies, auto financing, auto insurance, gas stations (energy), media (radio, billboard in particular), maintenance services, public sector infrastructure, and even emergency services.

Figure 1:   SAE Edge Report:  Transportation Ecosystem

Autonomous capability has been touted as the disruptive change agent by the media and investors alike. However, autonomy has proven to be very difficult at a technological level.  As “Measurable Safety, The Missing Ingredient To Demonstrating ADAS Value” discusses, even ADAS, the simpler poor cousin to advanced mobility systems, is not ready for prime time.  Is there a technological layer which underlies both of these capabilities, that may actually be the first to provide real value to customers ?

In an automotive capability stack, below

The Nvidia/Arm deal could create the dominant ecosystem for the next computer era

The next strategic inflection point in computing will be the cloud expanding to the edge, involving highly parallel computer architectures connected to hundreds of billions of IoT devices. Nvidia is uniquely positioned to dominate that ecosystem, and if it does indeed acquire Arm within the next few weeks as expected, full control of the Arm architecture will virtually guarantee its dominance.

Every 15 years, the computer industry goes through a strategic inflection point, or as Jefferies US semiconductors analyst Mark Lipacis calls it, a tectonic shift, that dramatically transforms the computing model and realigns the leadership of the industry. In the ’70s the industry shifted from mainframe computers, in which IBM was the dominant company, to minicomputers, which DEC (Digital Equipment Corporation) dominated. In the mid-’80s the tectonic shift was PCs, where Intel and Microsoft defined and controlled the ecosystem. Around the turn of the millennium, the industry shifted again
