Review: PaMu Quiet TWS earbuds are an ear-friendly alternative to other noise-cancelling earphones

PaMu Quiet earbuds are a $90 pair of earbuds that offer decent sound quality, active noise cancellation, but may not be enough for the true audiophile.

Today we’re taking a look at the PaMu Quiet TWS earbuds— a budget-friendly pair of earbuds that may have solved the ear-ache issues associated with active noise cancellation.

A case for a good case

The case can be hung easily from a bag

The PaMu Quiet ship with an interesting case that seems to emulate the shape of a pocket watch. A blue light on the outside shows the current charge level, while a secure button release ensures your case won’t accidentally pop open.

The case is Qi-compatible, allowing you to drop it on your favorite wireless charging pad to top it off. If you don’t have a charging pad, the case can be charged via the included USB-C port.

My colleagues Chris Welch and Becca Farsace spent quality time with the Galaxy Buds Live, and you can check out the video review above or the written post here. What stands out in this model, compared to the cheaper Galaxy Buds Plus and other models, is their unconventional design, lengthy battery life and powerful sound. They boast noise cancellation, but they

US Customs Doubles Down After Seizing Apple AirPod “Fakes,” Which Are Just OnePlus Earbuds

In what appeared to be a mistaken attempt to prevent counterfeit good entering the country, the US Customs and Border Protection has accidentally confiscated a large shipment of what it believes to be fake Apple AirPods. Turns out they aren’t fake at all.

The shipment, mistaken for knock off Apple AirPods, is in fact a legitimate product from Chinese smartphone and electronics maker OnePlus. The OnePlus Buds were announced earlier this year and retail for $79, which brings the total shipment cost of the 2000 pairs confiscated to $158,000. That’s far less than the estimated $398,00 in fakes that the customs officials stated they had discovered.

After the “stash” was shown off on Twitter, OnePlus US had this cheeky reply on hand for their confiscated stock.

Turns out US Customs isn’t backing down though, stating that the confiscation was not an error. In a statement to The Verge, the CBP

One thing we all know to be true about Apple products? They don’t go on sale very often. So when a discount comes along on one of the tech giant’s bestsellers, we tend to want to shout it from the rooftops. Case in point: the Apple AirPods Pro, which are currently being offered for less than $200.

Bose is almost ready to challenge Apple’s AirPods Pro with new noise-canceling earbuds

Bose hasn’t released a pair of true wireless earbuds since the SoundSport Free in 2017, but it seems the company is about to make up for lost time. Last year, Bose said it was readying two sets of new earbuds — the Noise Canceling Earbuds 500 and 700, still listed on this website — and a new video suggests the launch of at least one of those could be imminent. Bose has apparently reconsidered its branding choices and is reverting back to its signature “QuietComfort” series: the Noise Canceling Headphones 700 are now simply called the Bose QuietComfort Earbuds. Seems like the right decision to me.

This is according to a marketing video that was prematurely discovered by Redditors on retailer Harvey Norman’s website. (CNET reported on the leak.) The clip has since been taken down, but not before it was reuploaded to YouTube.

The QuietComfort Earbuds will offer

Bose’s new noise-canceling earbuds near release, get name change

Bose’s new QuietComfort Earbuds are designed to compete with Apple’s AirPods Pro.

Bose

Bose fans have been waiting not so patiently for the company to release its perpetually delayed next-generation true wireless earbuds. Well, if an official launch video courtesy of Australian retailer Harvey Norman is any indication, it appears that the product formerly known as the Noise Cancelling Earbuds 700 may be available soon under a new name: The Bose QuietComfort Earbuds.

The company announced two new true wireless models last year. The Earbuds 500 — now called the Sports Earbuds, according to Bose’s UK site — were previewed way back in June of last year and supposed to ship in 2019 but got pushed to 2020. The Noise Cancelling Earbuds 700 weren’t scheduled to ship until this year, but many were hoping both new earbuds would ship earlier in 2020 as several competing models hit the market. In

TCL announces two Android tablets, new true wireless earbuds, and a smartwatch for seniors

As part of its IFA 2020 announcements, TCL is today launching a slew of new gadgets including a pair of tablets, new true wireless earbuds, and a smartwatch for seniors.

The Android tablets are perhaps the most interesting products of the bunch, as the higher-end model features a 10.36-inch widescreen (2000×1200) display with slim bezels; it even comes with a stylus. The internal specs aren’t going to come anywhere close to something like Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S7, but the company is positioning the TCL 10 Tab Max as an excellent choice for watching videos or conducting video calls thanks to its dual far-field microphones. It’s set to ship in the fourth quarter for €299 (4G model) and €249 (Wi-Fi only).

There’s also the TCL 10 Tab Mid for even less money, though you’ll have to put up with chunkier bezels around its 8-inch screen.
