If you know, you know, but if you’re discovering the game on Xbox Game Pass then the Doom Eternal computer password will be something you find when you explore the Fortress of Doom. And immediately spend ages trying to work out. Fortunately there’s not a hugely convoluted challenge to finding out what the code actually – you just need to know some really obscure Doom lore to unearth to know about an Easter egg computer pass word and unlock the computer.

‘Doom Eternal’ Will Probably Be The Next Major Game Pass Title

It looks like id’s Doom Eternal, which came out six months ago, will be the first big Bethesda title to hit Game Pass in the wake of Microsoft’s monumental acquisition.

As spotted by Wario64 on Twitter, the Xbox Game Pass account has posted a phony email screenshot with hidden text that reads: “The Slayer is coming.” This is visible if you take the image and enhance the contrast. “Better get excited,” Xbox’s mock email reads. “Everyone’s gonna go crazy when they hear what I’m about to tell you. Low and behold, [redacted] is coming to the service very soon!”

There are currently no Doom titles on Game Pass, though the 2016 Doom used to be part of the library. While Doom Eternal is obviously what they’re teasing here—it’s relatively new and hasn’t been on Game Pass before—it’s possible that we could see the entire

Doom Is Finally Playable On A Pregnancy Test

1993’s Doom has been ported to just about every device under the sun since its release, from calculators to printers to train ticket authenticators. There’s even a subreddit for funny Doom ports. But there’s been one version of Doom we’ve long cried out for, and it’s finally here–a version of Doom that will run on a slightly modified pregnancy test.

Twitter user Foone, who identifies as a “hardware / software necromancer” in their profile, has been playing around with a modified pregnancy test with a replacement OLED display. At first, he was just using it to run videos, like this one from the opening of Skyrim.

At first, Foone was struggling to get Doom running on the test, but eventually, they made it happen. Using a mini keyboard, Foone was able to control the black-and-white, low-fi version of Doom, running on a 128×32 monochrome display.

We’re excited to announce

Programmer Runs ‘Doom’ On Pregnancy Test

  • A programmer has just run “Doom” on an electronic pregnancy test
  • Foone took to Twitter and shared his journey in making the 1993 game work on a pregnancy test
  • He had to replace the tester’s LCD and CPU to make the game run

A programmer has just answered one of the gaming community’s immortal questions and he did it using a pregnancy test.

“Will it run DOOM?” is a subreddit that focuses on the community using “odd hardware” to run the 1993 cult classic. The group prides on their tweaking abilities and over the years, saw “Doom” run on calculators, ATM machines. Suffice to say, they are confident that “if it has a computer in it, it can possibly run Doom.”

Twitter user Foone is, according to Mashable, a programmer who likes “reverse-engineering things” and likes to take his time with “ancient hardware and software.” While “Doom” is

Doom and Doom II get official widescreen support, 27 years later

Doom is the game that just won’t die, no matter how many times you blast those demons away — and owner Bethesda has seen fit to give the 27-year-old original quite a number of upgrades this year. After adding 60fps support and community-made add-ons in January, the re-released Doom and Doom II are now getting official 16:9 widescreen support as well.

According to a Bethesda blog post (via Polygon) the company has actually modified the original Doom renderer to natively provide 16:9 without letterboxing, giving you a wider field of view on the original game instead of big ugly borders or simply stretching out the existing image.

The lack of letterbox should be particularly handy for owners of the Nintendo Switch, iPhone and Android versions of the game, since those big borders will no longer cut into their already tiny screens — and on Android, the games (Doom
