But before we dive into them, let us get the price and sale details out of our way.

Samsung Galaxy Buds vs. Samsung Galaxy Buds Live

Samsung has become a top contender in the true wireless earbuds space with the Galaxy Buds Live and Buds Plus. The Buds Live are designed with ergonomics in mind, presenting a bean-shaped design that fits in almost any ear. The Buds Plus share a design more akin to what most are used to in earbuds; both designs have something for everyone.

In this guide, we consider design, audio, features, battery life, and price to give you an idea of which will work best for you.

The difference in design between these two products is dramatic, to say the least. The Buds Live feature a bean-shaped design that fits into the concha of the ear — one of the most ergonomically shaped products in Samsung’s lineup. They have a glossy finish on the exterior and a matte finish on the underside. The Buds Live also feature air

My colleagues Chris Welch and Becca Farsace spent quality time with the Galaxy Buds Live, and you can check out the video review above or the written post here. What stands out in this model, compared to the cheaper Galaxy Buds Plus and other models, is their unconventional design, lengthy battery life and powerful sound. They boast noise cancellation, but they

Google’s Latest Pixel Buds 2 Update Finally Does The Trick

Google is rolling out another update for its beleaguered Pixel Buds today, which is targeted at fixing persistent audio cut-outs.

A Google employee on the company’s support forums posted yesterday that a new update – V552 – was being rolled out immediately. The new firmware is supposed to fix the issue of the Pixel Buds dropping audio at exactly 1 minute 50 seconds into playback. The initial response from Pixel Bud owners is positive, with many saying their problem has been solved.

Audio connectivity issues have been a common complaint from Pixel Bud owners since the earbuds released in

CBP Seized OnePlus Buds as ‘Counterfeit’ AirPods. Now It’s Doubling Down

If it quacks like a duck, in other words, CBP is within its rights to call it a counterfeit duck. And the agency has familiarity with Apple counterfeits; they’re so prevalent that Apple participates in the agency’s Donations Acceptance Program, in which private companies donate relevant resources to help CBP spot fakes. According to a 2019 Government Accountability Office report, Apple contributes digital microscopes, lighting cable detectors, and iPhone power cords to help the agency authenticate products. Procter and Gamble, Otter, Cisco, and other companies participate in the program, as well.

McKenna says the fact that OnePlus Buds are listed at a little over half the cost of AirPods may have registered as another strike on the CBP’s limited checklist. Selling something that looks so similar for so much less is likely to set off alarms.

What the CBP seizure does not mean, though, is that OnePlus Buds are suddenly

Feds seize almost $400K of ‘counterfeit Apple AirPods’ that are actually OnePlus Buds

In a truly bizarre situation that I’m still trying to wrap my head around, US Customs and Border Protection tonight tweeted that its officers had “recently seized 2,000 counterfeit Apple AirPods from Hong Kong, valued at $398K had they been genuine.” There’s also a press release: “CBP officers are protecting the American public from various dangers on a daily basis,” said Troy Miller, director of CBP’s New York field operations, in the release. “The interception of these counterfeit earbuds is a direct reflection of the vigilance and commitment to mission success by our CBP Officers daily.” These units originated from Hong Kong and were seized at JFK on August 31st; they were headed to Nevada, according to the press release.

The only problem is, based on the agency’s own photos, the seized products appear to be legitimate OnePlus Buds — in a box that plainly says as much. But CBP
