Google is often touted as one of the best paying tech companies in the world, but how much money can you actually make there?

We know a software engineer could be offered $353,000, and that a VP of engineering can get $475,000.

Unsurprisingly, a lot of engineers at Google make the big bucks, but many other roles can expect to land you in the six figures. A corporate counsel role this year was offered $290,000, for example.

While Google doesn’t like to talk openly about salaries, all American companies must disclose how much they intend to pay foreign workers when applying for their visas. Business Insider has sifted through more than 6,000 visa applications to discover how much Google values many of its roles.

Beware: This certainly doesn’t cover every Google position – only the jobs for which it has applied for a visa. Also bear in mind that Google only discloses data on base compensation, so this data doesn’t include stock grants.

The majority of Google’s roles disclosed are based its home of California or in New York, but it’s also offered positions in Texas, Washington, Colorado, and Illinois. Unless specified otherwise, the below salary ranges cover hires across all states.

Once you’re done, take a look at Business Insider’s big tech salary database, featuring data on how much Apple, Tesla, Amazon, and other companies pay their employees.
