APU appoints new deputy dean of technical graduate studies college

Manama, AGU: The Arabian Gulf University (AGU) President Dr Khalid bin Abdulrahman Al Ohaly has recently issued a resolution to appoint Dr Maha Mahmood Al Sabbagh as the new Deputy Dean of the College of Technical Graduate Studies at the University until June, 2021.

On the occasion, Dr Al Sabbagh expressed thanks and appreciation to Dr Al Ohaly for his continuous support to the academic cadres at the University and his keenness to provide them with an encouraging academic environment.

It is worth noting that Dr Al Sabbagh holds a PhD in Energy and Climate Change Mitigation from the University of Leeds in the United Kingdom since 2016. She won the Rashid Bin Humaid Award for Culture and Sciences in the environmental sciences research category in three years (2017, 2018 & 2020).

Additionally, Dr Al Sabbagh won the L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science Awards for the Middle East Region in 2016, as well as winning the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Award for Environmental Management.

Dr Al Sabbagh has several research papers that are published in various international publications in the fields of energy and climate change, and she has been a main contributor to several national environmental strategy and climate change reports in the GCC region.
